Stay In Shape While At Home

Whether you are self-isolating or in lock-down with the Coronavirus (and Covid-19), you'll be spending a lot more time at home over the coming months. There is a few things you can do to make sure you feel well in mind and body. 

Read my easy tips below: 

  • Focus on your nutrition, nutrition is still 90% of your health and fitness equation.
  • Use a calorie counter like MyFitnessPal to help keep track of your food.
  • Watch your portion sizes.  
  • You have more time now, so go for a daily walk. This is a good form of exercise but also great for your mental heath also.
  • If you feel lonely, call or video call a friend. Using video can make you feel like you're together. 
  • Stick to a routine or structure for your day. Exercise, go for a walk, have a shower and get dressed as if you are going to work. Try not to stay in your pj's all day. 
Remember that people respond differently to challenging situations, and everyone deals with anxiety differently. You don’t have to develop a new hobby to ‘make the most of the pandemic’. Perhaps what you need is some rest, and that’s OK too.
