Breaking the Plateau: Get Results Again
Hit a fat-loss plateau? Don’t stress — it happens to everyone. The good news?
With a few simple tweaks, you can get things moving again.
Here are 5 tips to break through:
- Push your workouts harder – As your fitness improves, increase the intensity or add extra time to your sessions. Challenge creates change.
- Move more outside the gym – Training hard is great, but daily movement matters too. Use a step counter to keep yourself accountable. Aim for at least 8,000 steps — 10,000+ is even better, and 15,000 is a super active day.
- Cut back on sugar – Don’t be fooled by “low-fat” snacks like yogurts and cereal bars. They’re often loaded with sugar. Swap them out for fruit and save yourself hundreds of empty calories.
- Reduce alcohol – Alcohol is sneaky. It’s calorie-dense, easy to underestimate, and stalls fat loss. Be honest with how much you’re having — cutting back can make a huge difference.
- Shrink your portions – Even healthy foods can hold you back if you’re overeating. Downsize your plate and listen to your body’s fullness signals.
- Fat loss isn’t about perfection, it’s about consistency. Small adjustments = big results over time. Keep pushing — you’ve got this!
